The Avenida Building, formerly home to Club Avenida, on plot NAIROBI/BLOCK 28/285 along Moi Avenue in Nairobi CBD, is being demolished to make way for redevelopment. The building partially collapsed during demolition works on 17 October 2026. Details of the proposed replacement development have not yet been confirmed.

Proposed development of a public park within the Oshwal Religious Centre in Parklands, Nairobi, involving the restoration of the section of Kibagare River currently canalised through the property and rehabilitation of the surrounding riparian land. The project forms part of the wider Nairobi Rivers Regeneration Programme, which is expected to affect other developments along the river corridor, particularly structures built over waterways or within riparian reserves. Proposed building materials processing plant by Xiaomi Investment Limited for the production of volcanic ash cement, mineral powder and aerated bricks on plot LONGONOT/KIJABE BLOCK 4/5478 (RARE), covering approximately 6 acres off the Mai Mahiu-Narok Road, about 5 km from Mai Mahiu town, Nakuru County. The development will include a cement grinding plant, batching plant, warehouses, raw material storage facilities, offices and a quality-control laboratory.
